I am participating in the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network?s (FAAN?s) Walk for Food Allergy: Moving Toward A Cure. The event will raise funds to find a cure for food allergy and to educate others.
I was diagnosed at 6 months old with multiple Severe food allergies. By the time I was 10 months old we discovered I was allergic to over 25 different foods. Here I am 4 years later and I am allergic to Dairy, Eggs, Peanuts, Treenuts, All Seeds(Flax, Sesame, Mustard, Sunflower), shellfish and some fish. I love everything Baseball as well as other sports. Although I can't eat what everyone else eats I don't let it get me down. We have learned that we can make my own Chase-safe version of what others eat and I love it!
FAAN?s mission is to raise public awareness, to provide advocacy and education, and to advance research on behalf of all those affected by food allergies and anaphylaxis.
